Andrea is a Digital Content Creator in the tech industry, a long-time organiser of WordCamp Montreal, and a co-organizer of do_action Montreal, a WordPress charity hackathon. She trained as a broadcast journalist at Concordia University in Montréal and worked in communications in the non-profit, healthcare, and financial sectors before trading it for a career in tech.

After an internship on the VIP team at Automattic, the company that owns WordPress.com, she worked as a WordPress webmaster at Dawson College and freelanced as a content consultant for startups in Montreal before returning to Automattic. For three years, she worked on the WordPress.com marketing team developing landing page content, implementing retention marketing strategies, and creating video tutorials with millions of views. At SiteGround, she developed brand messaging and created digital, print, and video content for the English-speaking market. Now at Kinsta web hosting, Andrea is the Video Content Manager and oversees the video portion of their digital content marketing strategy.

When she’s not at home in Montreal, Canada, she’s sampling the digital nomad life, travelling to speak at conferences, and documenting her adventures on her travel blog The Capsule Suitcase.
